Is your child ready for sewing adventures with friends? Each camp this summer offers an adventure to create something new and we will jump right in with fun & unique sewing projects!
The 2 and 3-day Summer Sewing Camps are a perfect way for Sewing and Fitting Mentor new or returning students to learn, practice, and retain their sewing skills during the summer without committing to weekly classes compared to the school year. The camps are for ages 8 to 16.
If your student is new to sewing, they will need to attend the 101 sewing class before taking classes. Please review the prerequisites of each of the other camps as some require more sewing experience than the 101 sewing class.
Class times were created with the idea that learning to sew should be enjoyable and not rushed. Just like Summer Vacation! Thus, your student may or may not finish their projects in the allotted time, and that’s okay.
If they don’t finish, arrange an open sewing session to complete their project the last week of August.
ALL 3-Day knit camps (stretchy fabrics) require students to have attended previous sewing lessons and have made a project with WOVEN (non-stretchy fabric) before attending this class.
Class sizes are limited to 4 students with the exception of the 101 class which is 6.

Sewing Machine 101 (pre-requisite for new students)
Calling all creative kids and teens aged 8-17! If you’ve never touched a sewing machine before but dream of crafting amazing projects, our Summer Sewing Camp is the perfect place to start your sewing journey.This class is required for teens & kids with NO previous experience with a sewing machine. (also or if it’s been over a year since attending a sewing class. Class fee $45.00

Reversible Bow or Bucket Hat (2-day camp) – Beginner Friendly
Hey young crafters, get ready to turn up the heat on your summer style at our fabulous Summer Sewing Camp, designed exclusively for kids and teens aged 8-17!
Class fee: $109.00
***Pre-requisite Sewing 101 or prior sewing lessons with Sewing and Fitting Mentor
Fabric and supplies can be purchased thru the studio for an additional fee of $25.00

Alyssa Romper (3-day) – Beginner Friendly
Alyssa, the star of our summer camp, can be transformed into a trendy wide-leg pants romper or a charming skirt – the choice is yours! With side seam pockets for that extra touch of convenience, Alyssa’s design is versatile and perfect for the sunny days ahead. Get ready to showcase your unique style! Class fee $135.00

Leilani Sundress/Crop Top (3-day) – Beginner Friendly
Dive into the world of fashion and creativity with our Leilani Crop Top/Sundress workshop. Join us for a fantastic journey where you’ll not only create adorable outfit but also master essential sewing skills! Class fee $135.00

Sage Skirt (3-day)
Hey there, future fashionistas! The Skirt of Your Dreams! Introducing Sage Skirt. Get ready for a stitchin’ good time with this Sewing Camp designed exclusively for kids and teens aged 8-17! Class fee $135.00
***This class has advanced techniques and not for a beginner. Prior sewing lessons with Sewing and Fitting Mentor

Altitude/Aspen Knit Pullover~ (3-day)

Jordan/Java Joggers~ knit (3-day)
The Jordan Joggers are not just any joggers – they’re a must-have for every child, from the tiniest newborns to the trendiest tweens! This semi-fitted pattern is specifically designed for medium-weight knits, making it the perfect introduction to sewing with stretchy fabrics. Class fee $135.00

FAQS:
Class fee includes teacher instruction, use of classroom sewing machine, basic sewing supplies.

Additional Supplies: Water bottle and healthy snack if needed.
Kids need to prepare to have fun!
Your class payment reserves your spot.
No refunds are offered for classes or camps.
Cancellations received two weeks before class will be able to transfer their fees to another camp depending on openings (the same camp theme choice cannot be guaranteed)
Cancellations received less than two weeks before class starts, or no-shows may forfeit their class fees entirely.
If you miss a class you may be able to make up the class or come to an Open Sew day, subject to available space.
If Sewing and Fitting Mentor needs to cancel a class we will issue a refund in the manner in which you paid or you can transfer your payment to a future session of your choice.
Classes are subject to change or cancellation based on illness or emergency.
Students will use antibacterial hand wash, which is provided
Social distancing is encouraged and mask-wearing is optional.
Classroom and machines are sanitized between classes.
